5. Formal Translation While he was reporting to the king how Elisha had brought the dead back to life, the woman whose son had been restored came before the king, appealing about her house and her field. Gehazi then identified them, saying, “My lord the king, this is the woman and this is her son whom Elisha restored to life.” |
5. Dynamic Translation As Gehazi was still recounting how Elisha revived the dead, the mother of the boy who had been revived arrived to appeal for her house and field. Gehazi said, “My lord the king, here are the woman and her son whom Elisha revived.” |
