4. Formal Translation
And a traveler came to the rich man, and he spared taking from his own flock and from his own herd to prepare for the traveler who had come to him. Instead, he took the ewe lamb of the poor man and prepared it for the man who had come to him.
4. Dynamic Translation
A visitor arrived at the home of the rich man, but the rich man refused to use any of his own sheep or cattle to prepare a meal for his guest. Instead, he took the poor man’s little lamb and cooked it for the visitor who had come to him.
