| 24. Formal Translation But the king said, “Let him turn to his house, but my face he must not see.” So Absalom turned to his house and did not see the king’s face. |
| 24. Dynamic Translation But the king declared, “He must go to his own house, and he is not allowed to see me.” So Absalom went home and did not see the king’s face. |
