| 34. Formal Translation But if you return to the city and say to Absalom, “I am your servant, O king; I was your father’s servant from then until now, and now I am your servant,” then you will frustrate for me the counsel of Ahithophel. |
| 34. Dynamic Translation If you go back to the city and tell Absalom, “Your Majesty, I am your servant. In the past I served your father, but now I will serve you,” then you can help me by making Ahithophel’s advice fail. |
