2 Samuel 15:4:1וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vayomerand he said
2 Samuel 15:4:2אַבְשָׁל֔וֹםavshalomAbsalom 2 Samuel 15:4:3מִי־יְשִׂמֵ֥נִיmiyesimeniwho will set me 2 Samuel 15:4:4שֹׁפֵ֖טshofetjudge 2 Samuel 15:4:5בָּאָ֑רֶץbaaretsin the land 2 Samuel 15:4:6וְעָלַ֗יvealaiand to me 2 Samuel 15:4:7יָב֛וֹאyavohe will come 2 Samuel 15:4:8כָּל־אִ֛ישׁkalishevery man 2 Samuel 15:4:9אֲשֶֽׁר־יִהְיֶה־לּוֹ־רִ֥יבashereyihyelorivwho will have for him a dispute 2 Samuel 15:4:10וּמִשְׁפָּ֖טumishpatand a judgment or legal case 2 Samuel 15:4:11וְהִצְדַּקְתִּֽיו׃vehitsdaktivand I would declare him right
4. Formal Translation
And Absalom said, “Who will make me judge in the land, that every man who has a dispute or a case might come to me, and I would declare him right.”
4. Dynamic Translation
Then Absalom said, “If only I were appointed as judge in this country! Anyone with a disagreement or a legal case could come to me, and I would ensure they were treated fairly.”
