| 23. Formal Translation And the advice of Ahithophel, which he gave in those days, was as if a man inquired of the word of God {Elohim, Divine Counselor}; so was all the advice of Ahithophel, both for David and for Absalom. |
| 23. Dynamic Translation The advice that Ahithophel gave in those days was like consulting God {Elohim, Trusted Guide}. That is how every piece of Ahithophel’s counsel was valued by both David and Absalom. |
