2 Samuel 16:23:1וַעֲצַ֣תvaatsatand the counsel of
2 Samuel 16:23:2אֲחִיתֹ֗פֶלakhitofelAhithophel 2 Samuel 16:23:3אֲשֶׁ֤רasherwhich 2 Samuel 16:23:4יָעַץ֙yaatshe counseled 2 Samuel 16:23:5בַּיָּמִ֣יםbayamimin the days 2 Samuel 16:23:6הָהֵ֔םhahemthose 2 Samuel 16:23:7כַּאֲשֶׁ֥רkaasheras which, as if 2 Samuel 16:23:8יִשְׁאַל־אִ֖ישׁyishalesha man asks 2 Samuel 16:23:9בִּדְבַ֣רbidvarby the word of 2 Samuel 16:23:10הָאֱלֹהִ֑יםhaelohimGod 2 Samuel 16:23:11כֵּ֚ןkenso, thus 2 Samuel 16:23:12כָּל־עֲצַ֣תkalatsatall the counsel of 2 Samuel 16:23:13אֲחִיתֹ֔פֶלakhitofelAhithophel 2 Samuel 16:23:14גַּם־לְדָוִ֖דgamledavidalso to David 2 Samuel 16:23:15גַּ֥םgamalso 2 Samuel 16:23:16לְאַבְשָׁלֹֽם׃סleavshalomto Absalom
23. Formal Translation
And the advice of Ahithophel, which he gave in those days, was as if a man inquired of the word of God {Elohim, Divine Counselor}; so was all the advice of Ahithophel, both for David and for Absalom.
23. Dynamic Translation
The advice that Ahithophel gave in those days was like consulting God {Elohim, Trusted Guide}. That is how every piece of Ahithophel’s counsel was valued by both David and Absalom.
