| 21. Formal Translation And it came to pass after they had gone that they came up from the well, went, and reported to King David. They said to David, “Arise and cross quickly over the water, for thus Ahithophel has given counsel against you.” |
| 21. Dynamic Translation After they had left, the men climbed out of the well, went on their way, and told King David everything. They said, “Get up and cross the river quickly because this is what Ahithophel has planned against you.” |
