23. Formal Translation
And Ahithophel saw that his counsel was not followed, so he saddled the donkey, returned to his house in his city, gave orders to his household, hanged himself, died, and was buried in the grave of his father.
23. Dynamic Translation
When Ahithophel realized that his advice had not been accepted, he saddled his donkey, set out for his home in his hometown, gave instructions to his family, and then hanged himself. He died and was buried in his father’s tomb.
