28. Formal Translation
Then Joab blew the horn, and all the people halted. They did not pursue Israel any longer, and they did not continue fighting.
28. Dynamic Translation
Then Joab sounded the ram’s horn, and everyone stopped in their tracks. They did not chase Israel anymore, and they ceased fighting altogether.
