The Hifil imperfect vayakkehu {וַיַּכֵּהוּ֩ | wa-yak-ke-hū} ‘he struck him’ and the locative el-hachomesh {אֶל־הַחֹ֜מֶשׁ | ’el-ha-ḥo-mesh} ‘into the abdomen’ pinpoint the violence.
