Formal Translation And Toi sent Joram his son to King David to inquire about his welfare {shalom: completeness, peace} and to ask for his blessing, because he had fought against Hadadezer and struck him; for Hadadezer was a warrior. And in his hand were vessels of silver, vessels of gold, and vessels of bronze. |
10. Dynamic Translation So Toi sent his son Joram to King David to greet him and to congratulate him, because David had fought and defeated Hadadezer, who had long been at war with Toi. Joram brought vessels of silver, gold, and bronze. |
