28. Formal Translation And one of them, by name Agabus, having arisen, signaled through the Spirit {pneuma, Prophetic Source} that a great famine was going to come upon the entire inhabited world, which also happened during the days of Claudius. |
28. Dynamic Translation Then one of them named Agabus stood up and, guided by the Spirit {pneuma, Guiding Revealer}, predicted that a severe famine would come upon the whole known world. This actually happened when Claudius was emperor. |
