17. Formal Translation But having motioned to them with his hand to be silent, he recounted to them how the Lord {Kyrios, Divine Deliverer} had brought him out of the prison. And he said, “Report these things to James and the brothers.” Then, having gone out, he went to another place. |
17. Dynamic Translation But he signaled to them with his hand to be quiet and explained how the Lord {Kyrios, Mighty Rescuer} had led him out of the prison. He said, “Tell James and the other believers about this.” Then he left and went to a different place. |
