| 23. Formal Translation For as I was passing through and carefully observing the objects of your worship, I also found an altar on which had been inscribed: “To an Unknown God {Theos, unknown to you}.” Therefore, what you worship without knowing, this I proclaim to you. |
| 23. Dynamic Translation As I walked around and looked closely at what you worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: “To an Unknown God {Theos, Now Revealed Creator}.” So what you worship without understanding, this I am now proclaiming to you. |
