As Paul prepared to enter the barracks, he addressed the commander, “Is it permitted for me to say something to you?” The commander replied, “Do you know Greek?”

As Paul was being led into the headquarters, he asked the officer, “May I speak with you?” The officer answered, “Do you know Greek?”
