| 21. Formal Translation After a great lack of food had set in, Paul stood in their midst and said, “Men, you ought to have obeyed me by not setting sail from Crete, so that you would have avoided this injury and this loss.” |
| 21. Dynamic Translation After they had gone a long time without eating, Paul stood up among them and said, “Men, you should have listened to me and not left Crete; then you would have been spared this disaster and this loss.” |
