And a certain man, lame from his mother’s womb, was being carried, whom they would lay each day at the gate of the temple called Beautiful, so that he might ask for alms from those entering the temple.
2. Dynamic Translation
There was a man who had been lame since birth, and he was carried every day to the temple gate known as Beautiful, so he could beg for money from people going into the temple.
