39. Formal Translation When they had come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord {pneuma kyriou, Sovereign Relocating Power} snatched Philip away, and the eunuch saw him no longer, for he went on his way rejoicing. |
39. Dynamic Translation As soon as they stepped out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord {pneuma kyriou, God’s Guiding Power} suddenly took Philip away, and the royal official did not see him anymore, for he went on his journey filled with joy. |
