13. Formal Translation So speaks the LORD {Yahweh, Covenant Judge}: “For three transgressions of the sons of Ammon, and for four, I will not turn it back, because they ripped open the pregnant women of Gilead, in order to enlarge their border.” |
13. Dynamic Translation The LORD {Yahweh, Justice Enforcer} has spoken: “Ammon’s people have piled up three offenses—yes, four—and I will not withdraw the sentence; they tore open pregnant women in Gilead so as to widen their border.” |
