Choose a more impressive spread to hide the shortage

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I confess that I have sinned and tried to live on what cannot truly satisfy me. I turn from my sin and trust that you died for me and rose again. Forgive me, make me new, and be my Lord. Amen.

Receive Me as Lord

Lord, revive your Church to trust you in ordinary things. Where we chase comfort and image, teach us humility, restraint, and faithfulness. Make us people who serve well, share wisely, and are content with what you provide. Wake us again to simple obedience and generous care, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your People to Faithful Stewardship

Father, thank you for every meal, including the plain ones. Thank you that your care is not measured only by abundance, and that you provide what is enough. Teach me to receive your gifts with gratitude, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thanks for Enough

Pray by naming one place where you are tempted to resent a simpler provision. Ask God to soften your heart, help you receive what is enough, and show you one way to serve faithfully with it.

Pray for Contentment

Pray for: people who live with little; those who manage food, money, or resources for others; and communities that need wisdom to care with fairness, restraint, and generosity.

For Those With Less

Bring to God any habit of wanting more than you need, any discomfort with plain provision, and any fear that modest things are not enough. Ask him to grow in you gratitude, contentment, and trust.

Learning to Want Enough
