Give practical help to someone who needs it, without expecting payback.

Wait to help until it improves your own standing.

Offer concern in words but avoid any real involvement.

Help only after the person has fully earned it.

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I know I need your mercy and I cannot earn your favor. I admit that I have sinned and gone my own way. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and trust you as my Lord and Savior. Please forgive me, receive me, and lead my life from now on. Amen.

Receive Mercy and Favor

Father, revive your Church to carry your kindness and compassion to the people around us. Where we have been harsh, make us gentle; where we have been distant, make us attentive; where we have withheld help, make us generous. Let your people reflect your heart in everyday relationships, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

A Church Marked by Mercy

Father, when I stand before people who can help or hinder me, let your kindness go before me. Give me favor where it serves your purpose, and keep me gentle and honest in every conversation, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Favor Before the Right People

Begin by naming one situation where you need favor or a better reception. Ask God to shape the other person's heart, to keep you free from pride, and to help you respond with gratitude whichever way he leads.

Pray for Favor with Humility

Thank God for the times he has given you unexpected favor through someone else's kindness. Recall one moment of help, and let that memory become praise.

Thank God for Quiet Kindness

Pray for a person who needs a door to open: ask God to move hearts toward compassion, to grant wise support, and to give that person peace while they wait.

Pray for Someone Who Needs an Advocate
