He keeps them under close watch in one place.

Refuse shortcuts that trade truth or fairness for advantage, and use influence to serve others.

Build loyalty by giving favors to the people who can advance your goals.

Accept questionable deals if they lead to useful results later.

Seek recognition first, then decide how to use your position.

Lord, Be My True King

Lord, revive your Church where we have learned to admire status, money, and influence more than faithfulness. Break the spell of compromise, cleanse our motives, and make us a people who honor truth, serve wisely, and refuse the love of gain. Stir us to live for your kingdom alone, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Wake Your Church From Compromise

Father, I confess that I am tempted to trade integrity for advantage. Show me where I have been chasing honor, position, or comfort at the wrong price. I turn from that path and ask you to cleanse my motives and steady my heart. Teach me to choose what is right, even when it costs me, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Turn Me From Crooked Gain

Begin by naming one place where success, status, or money tempts you to compromise. Ask God to show you the next honest step, then pray for the courage to take it and to trust him with the outcome.

Pray Through One Pressure Point

Pray for leaders, managers, parents, pastors, and public servants to reject bribery, flattery, and self-serving alliances. Ask God to give them integrity, wisdom, and a willingness to use authority for the good of many rather than for private gain.

Leaders Who Use Power Well

Thank God that true honor is not bought, and that his goodness cannot be traded or sold. Thank him for a kingdom where justice is worth more than price, and ask him to shape your desires so you value what lasts.

Gratitude for Unbought Honor
