Their treasured vessels or valuable items

Hold possessions loosely and keep God as your real security.

Treat wealth and status as proof that you are safe and favored.

Assume religious symbols will protect you from loss.

Spend your energy mainly on keeping rivals from taking what you have.

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have clung to false gods and trusted things that cannot save me. I turn from my sin and repent. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I confess you as Lord, forgive me, and lead my life. Amen.

Come to Jesus and Be Freed

Lord, revive your Church where we have trusted idols, money, power, or outward security. Strip away every false refuge, make us faithful when what we can see is taken, and teach us to hope in you alone. Give us courage to live with open hands and steady hearts, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Wake Us From False Security

Thank you, Lord, that your presence and your faithfulness are not carried away like idols, silver, or gold. Thank you for showing me what is temporary so I can value what lasts.

Thanks for What Cannot Be Carried Off

Name one possession, plan, or achievement you have been holding too tightly. Ask God to loosen your grip, to make you generous, and to help you trust him more than what you own.

Pray About Open Hands

Ask God to expose anything in your heart that has become too valuable: approval, comfort, control, or wealth. Ask him to free you from serving it and to give you a deeper desire for him.

Freedom From Hidden Idols

Pray for people living between conflict and waiting: that God would steady them, guard them during long seasons, and give them patience until he brings fuller restoration.

Peace in Unfinished Seasons
