The verse speaks about anyone who will not bow and worship

The threatened outcome is being thrown into the furnace

The furnace is described as intensely hot

Join in outwardly so you can avoid trouble

Refuse the false worship, even if it costs you

Keep your faith private, but go along in public

Wait until someone else decides what you should do

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I confess that I have bowed to other things and sinned against you. I turn from my sin and ask you to forgive me. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I confess you as Lord and receive you as my Savior. Teach me to worship you alone, even when it costs me. Amen.

Turn from False Masters

Lord, revive your Church to honor you above every rival. Where we have feared people more than you, make us bold; where we have compromised, make us faithful; where our worship has grown weak, renew it. Let our lives stand firm for your worth, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Restore Courageous Worship

Father, when I am pressured to go along with what is false, give me courage to stay faithful. Help me choose obedience over comfort, and keep my heart loyal to you, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Strength When Pressure Rises

Name one place where you may be tempted to compromise, ask God for courage to refuse false worship, and ask him for a clear next step that honors him.

Pray Before You Are Pressured

Thank God that he alone is worthy of worship, that he strengthens people who remain faithful, and that he does not leave his people without help when pressure comes.

Thankful for the Worthiness of God

Lord, strengthen believers who are threatened for staying true to you. Protect them, steady them, and let their quiet courage point others to your power, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Guard the Faithful Under Threat
