Keep devotion for God alone, even if that brings trouble

Go along outwardly so you can stay safe, and be faithful only in private

Share your worship between God and the powerful symbol so nobody is offended

Wait until the pressure passes before making any clear choice

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have given my loyalty to lesser things and have not honored you as Lord. I need your mercy and forgiveness. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and from every false master, and I trust you alone to save me. Come into my life, reign over me, and lead me in your truth. Amen.

Lord Over My Life

Lord, revive your Church. Where we have treated power, success, comfort, or human approval as if they were ultimate, wake us up. Give us courage to honor you alone, to refuse every false image, and to stand faithful in a watching world, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

A Church That Will Not Bow

Father, when I am pressured to go along with what is false, steady my heart. Help me to keep worship for you alone, to respect people without surrendering my devotion, and to stay faithful even when it costs me, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Courage When Pressure Rises

Pray by naming the pressure you feel, the person or system that is demanding too much of you, and the false thing you are tempted to honor. Ask God for one obedient next step and for courage to take it.

Pray Before You Bow

Pray for those who are singled out, misunderstood, or threatened because they will not compromise. Pray for believers in workplaces, schools, families, and governments to remain gentle, wise, and loyal to God. Pray that public pressure would not silence their worship, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

For Believers Under Pressure

Bring these to God: places where you have looked for approval more than his favor; habits of compromise that feel small but shape your worship; and any fear that keeps you from honoring him openly. Ask him to re-order your heart so that he alone is first.

Turning from False Loyalties
