If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit my sin and the angry, proud ways I have let rule me. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and confess you as Lord. Forgive me, make me new, and lead me in your peace. Amen.

Receive the Lord of Peace

Lord, where your church has been ruled by outrage, hurry, or harsh commands, wake us up. Replace our fury with patience, our pride with humility, and our reflex to control with the gentleness of Christ. Make us a people who reflect your steady wisdom to a divided world, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Renew Your People in Calm Strength

Father, when anger rises in me, slow my words, quiet my reactions, and keep me from making decisions out of fury. Give me grace to pause, pray, and choose what is wise, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Pause Me Before I Act

Pray by naming one leader, supervisor, parent, or teacher who is under pressure. Ask God to keep anger from becoming harmful action, and to give that person steady judgment and humility.

For Leaders Under Pressure

Bring before God any time anger, pride, or the need to control has shaped your words or choices. Ask him to reveal the root of it and to lead you back into repentance, patience, and humility.

Lay Down Fury

Thank God for warning you that fury can move quickly into action, and for his mercy in showing a wiser way before harm is done. Give thanks that he can teach patience, restraint, and clear judgment.
