Lord, where your Church has become hot with anger and quick to react, breathe your peace into us again. Soften what has grown hard, restrain what is rash, and make us known for patience, humility, and love. Wake us from every spirit of hostility and teach us to answer with the gentleness of Christ, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your People With Gentle Hearts

Bring these to God: the moments when irritation shows on your face, the relationships you have treated harshly, and the places where pride turns into pressure. Ask for repentance, a slower spirit, and a clean response.

When My Face Changes

Father, when I feel heat rising inside me, help me pause before I speak or act. Keep my anger from turning into harm, and give me a gentle answer instead of a sharp one, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Name one person or situation that triggers you, ask God to slow your response, then ask for one wise next sentence or action you can take.

Pray Before You Reply

Pray for people whose anger is quick to flare; for households, workplaces, and leaders where power has become harsh; and for God to protect the vulnerable and replace hostility with restraint and peace.
