It is described as intensely hot and already burning

Keep trusting God and keep doing what is right

Pause obedience until everything feels safe

Treat the pressure as proof that faith has failed

Focus only on escaping, even if it means ignoring God

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and tried to save myself. I turn from my sin and from every false confidence. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. When I feel bound and helpless, I need your mercy and your power. I confess you as Lord and ask you to lead my life out of the fire of sin into your peace. Amen.

Lord Jesus, Rescue Me

Lord, renew your Church when pressure rises and faith is tested. Make us steady when we feel bound, fearless when the heat is fierce, and united like these three servants standing together in trial. Revive us so that hardship makes our trust clearer, not weaker, and let your people shine with courage in a fearful world, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your Church in the Furnace

Father, for anyone who feels trapped, restricted, or thrown into a hard season, bring your comfort. Remind them that their present fire is not beyond your care, and give them peace to breathe and hope to endure, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Peace in Tight Places

Pray by naming the pressure you are under, asking God for steadiness in it, and surrendering one fear that keeps you from trusting him in the heat.

Pray for Steady Faith

Pray for believers who are under public pressure, fear, or persecution: that God would guard their hearts, keep them faithful, and preserve them together in unity.

Keep Believers Faithful Under Pressure

Thank God for faithful companions who stand together when life is hot and hard; ask him to make you such a companion for someone else this week.

Give Thanks for Companions in Hard Places
