Thank God that sudden alarm does not put him off. Thank him for his steady presence, for truth that can be asked plainly, and for the gift of wisdom when your own heart feels rushed.

Thank God for Steady Hands in the Storm

Lord, I pray for leaders, parents, pastors, teachers, and anyone who must answer quickly. Give them the grace to slow down, listen carefully, and speak truthfully when the moment feels urgent, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Lord, when I am startled, keep me from rash words and quick assumptions. Teach me to pause, seek what is true, and answer with humility and self-control, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
