Pause, check what is true, and refuse to pass the charge along

Repeat the accusation if enough people are saying it

Stay distant so you never have to take a side

Answer the accusation with a sharper accusation of your own

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and I need your mercy. I turn from my sin and from every false word and unfair judgment. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. Forgive me, make me yours, and be my Lord and Savior. Teach me to love truth, justice, and humility. Amen.

Receive the Lord Who Is Just

Lord, revive your Church so we do not rush into accusation or follow the crowd into harm. Make us quick to seek truth, slow to speak, and bold to stand with those who are treated unfairly. Renew our witness in a world that needs honesty and mercy, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your Church in Truth

Father, forgive me for the times I have repeated claims without checking them, joined unfair talk, or spoken to protect myself instead of telling the truth. Cleanse my lips and steady my heart, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Forgive My Unfair Speech

Take one accusation, rumor, or criticism you are facing or hearing. Ask God to show what is true, to keep you from reacting in fear, and to help you respond with wisdom and restraint.

Pray Before You Repeat a Claim

Pray for people who are falsely blamed or singled out, for courage to endure with peace, for leaders to judge fairly, and for truth to come to light.

For the Falsely Accused

Thank God that he sees every hidden wrong, notices the people who are treated unjustly, and is able to defend what is true even when others do not.
