A private excuse that explained everything

Clear awareness of the events already in view

A promise that nothing serious would happen

Keep the knowledge, but continue as before

Use what you know to prove you are already right

Confess the truth, bow before God, and act on it now

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit my sin and my pride. I have known what is right and still gone my own way. I turn from my sin and ask you to forgive me. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I confess you as Lord, and I ask you to give me a humble heart that follows you. Amen.

A Humble Heart Before You

Lord, revive your Church where we have heard your truth but not bowed to it. Break pride in us, soften our hearts, and make us quick to obey what we already know. Let us not only be informed, but transformed into people who humbly follow you, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your People in Humility

Father, I confess that I have sometimes resisted you even when I knew better. Forgive me for the pride that keeps my heart hard. Give me grace to humble myself, repent quickly, and obey what you have shown me, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Where I Have Refused to Bow

Name one area where God has already made the truth clear. Confess that you have not yielded there, ask him to soften you, and choose one obedient step before the day ends.

Pray Over the Place You Already Know

Give thanks for: God’s mercy in warning before deeper harm; the gift of truth that reaches the heart; the chance to repent when you already know better; a soft heart that welcomes correction.

Thank God for Honest Warning

Pray for: leaders who have knowledge but lack humility; friends or family who are resisting what they already know; courage to speak truth with gentleness; grace for quick repentance and lasting obedience.

For Those Who Know but Resist
