It is broken apart and handed over to the Medes and the Persians

It is strengthened and secured for a long reign

It is temporarily troubled but still kept in place

The realm is handed over to the Medes and the Persians

The former ruler keeps control at the end

Hold power lightly and submit your plans to God's rule

Treat your position as proof that nothing can touch you

Use religious language while refusing to change your priorities

Protect your status first and trust God later

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I confess that I have tried to rule my own life, and my heart has been divided by sin. I need your mercy and I cannot save myself. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and confess you as Lord over me. Bring my life under your saving rule and make me new. Amen.

Come Under Your Rule

Father, your word shows that human power does not last. Revive your Church so we do not boast in status, nations, or success, but bow to the reign of Christ. Make us humble, truthful, and ready to obey when you speak. Awaken us to live as people who belong to your kingdom alone, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your Church in Humility

Thank God that no kingdom, leader, or achievement is ultimate; his authority stands above them all. Give thanks that he can break proud power and still carry out his wise purposes.

Thank You for Sovereign Rule

Pray by naming the leaders, nations, or systems you are tempted to trust, then ask God to expose pride, redirect power toward justice, and teach you to rely on his rule more than human strength.

Pray for Leaders Before God

Lord, be near anyone whose security has been shaken by loss, transfer, or upheaval. Where things feel divided and uncertain, give them steadiness, wisdom, and peace under your care, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Peace for Those Facing Sudden Change

Praise God as the One who rules over kingdoms, judges pride, and keeps his purposes sure when everything else shifts. Worship him for authority that no earthly power can resist.
