Wait passively and hope someone else resolves it

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and that I need your mercy. I turn from my sin and believe that you died for me and rose again. I confess you as Lord and ask you to rule my life. When my heart is shaken, give me your peace and make me yours. Amen.

Lord, shake your Church awake where we have become dull, proud, or easily confused. Give us humble hearts, clear sight, and a holy readiness to respond to you. Let leaders and congregations alike be alert to your voice and softened by your truth, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Wake Your People When We Grow Spiritually Dull

Father, when alarm rises and my thoughts start to spin, steady me. Help me face what is true without panic, and give me calm that does not depend on appearances, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Name the situation that has unsettled you, tell God honestly how it feels, ask for a clear mind, and wait before you speak or decide.

How to Pray Before Reacting

Pray for leaders who feel the weight of responsibility, that they would not be driven by fear or pride, but would choose humility, wise counsel, and truthful responses when circumstances shake them.

For People Who Carry Responsibility

Bring to God any pride, defensiveness, or quick reaction in you. Ask him for a teachable spirit, steadier judgment, and the grace to respond with humility when he gets your attention.
