Daniel 6:16:1בֵּאדַ֙יִן֙beadayinthen
Daniel 6:16:2גֻּבְרַיָּ֣אguverayathe men Daniel 6:16:3אִלֵּ֔ךְillekhthese Daniel 6:16:4הַרְגִּ֖שׁוּhargishupressed, urged Daniel 6:16:5עַל־מַלְכָּ֑אalmalkaagainst the king Daniel 6:16:6וְאָמְרִ֣יןveamreenwere saying Daniel 6:16:7לְמַלְכָּ֗אlemalkato the king Daniel 6:16:8דַּ֤עdaknow Daniel 6:16:9מַלְכָּא֙malkaO king Daniel 6:16:10דִּֽי־דָת֙didatthat law Daniel 6:16:11לְמָדַ֣יlemadaiof the Medes Daniel 6:16:12וּפָרַ֔סufarasand Persians Daniel 6:16:13דִּֽי־כָל־אֱסָ֥רdikholesarthat every prohibition Daniel 6:16:14וּקְיָ֛םukeyamand decree, ordinance Daniel 6:16:15דִּֽי־מַלְכָּ֥אdimalkaof the king Daniel 6:16:16יְהָקֵ֖יםyehakeemestablishes Daniel 6:16:17לָ֥אlanot Daniel 6:16:18לְהַשְׁנָיָֽה׃lehashnayato be changed
16. Formal Translation
Then the king commanded and they brought Daniel and threw him into the lions’ den. The king spoke to Daniel, “May your God, whom you serve continually, deliver you.”
16. Dynamic Translation
Then the king ordered that Daniel be brought and thrown into the lions’ den. The king said to Daniel, “May your God whom you continually serve rescue you.”
