Source Text: Hebrew (WLC) Daniel 8:12:1 ⧉וְצָבָ֛אvetsavaand an army Daniel 8:12:2 ⧉תִּנָּתֵ֥ןtinatenwill be given Daniel 8:12:3 ⧉עַל־הַתָּמִ֖ידalhatamidupon the regular offering Daniel 8:12:4 ⧉בְּפָ֑שַׁעbefashabecause of transgression Daniel 8:12:5 ⧉וְתַשְׁלֵ֤ךְvetashlekhand it will throw Daniel 8:12:6 ⧉אֱמֶת֙emettruth Daniel 8:12:7 ⧉אַ֔רְצָהartsato the ground Daniel 8:12:8 ⧉וְעָשְׂתָ֖הveahsetaaand it will act Daniel 8:12:9 ⧉וְהִצְלִֽיחָה׃vehitslikhaand it will prosper |
12. Formal Translation And a host was given over to it together with the continual because of transgression, and it cast down truth to the ground; then it acted and prospered. |
12. Dynamic Translation A powerful force will be handed over to it together with the daily offering, because of wrongdoing. It will throw truth to the ground, and then it will carry out its purposes and succeed. |
