It comes from a power greater than himself

It comes from the support of the people he opposes

He gives special care to the people of God

He destroys the mighty ones and God's people

Use influence to serve others and guard what is good

Use whatever works, even when it harms people

Chase results first and leave fairness for later

Keep your distance and let stronger people decide

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and trusted false strength. I turn from my sin and ask you to forgive me. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. Be my Lord and Savior, and lead me into your holy way. Amen.

Come to Jesus

Lord, wake up your Church where we have admired success more than holiness. Turn us away from every destructive way, and make us people of truth, courage, and mercy. Teach us to use strength for good and not for harm, and revive us to reflect your character in a broken world, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Renew Your Church's Strength

Father, protect the people who belong to you when they are under pressure, mocked, or harmed by powerful systems. Shelter the weary, steady the faithful, and keep hope alive where fear is loud. Give strength without violence and courage without pride, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Guard Your People

Pray by naming one place where you want success at any cost, confessing any desire to dominate, and asking God to replace it with humility, restraint, and obedience.

Pray Against Misused Strength

Pray for leaders, managers, parents, teachers, and anyone with influence: that they would not harm the people under them, that they would act justly, and that they would use strength to serve rather than destroy.

Power in the Hands of Leaders

Give thanks that destructive power is not ultimate, that God sees the proud, and that his people are not forgotten. Thank him that evil's success is not the final word.
