Deuteronomy 1:27:1וַתֵּרָגְנ֤וּvateragnuAnd you murmured
Deuteronomy 1:27:2בְאָהֳלֵיכֶם֙veaholeikhemin your tents Deuteronomy 1:27:3וַתֹּ֣אמְר֔וּvatoemruand said Deuteronomy 1:27:4בְּשִׂנְאַ֤תbesinatbecause of hatred Deuteronomy 1:27:5יְהוָה֙yahwehthe LORD Deuteronomy 1:27:6אֹתָ֔נוּotanuus Deuteronomy 1:27:7הוֹצִיאָ֖נוּhotsianuhe brought us out Deuteronomy 1:27:8מֵאֶ֣רֶץmeeretzfrom the land Deuteronomy 1:27:9מִצְרָ֑יִםmitsrayimof Egypt Deuteronomy 1:27:10לָתֵ֥תlatetto give Deuteronomy 1:27:11אֹתָ֛נוּotanuus Deuteronomy 1:27:12בְּיַ֥דbeyadinto the hand Deuteronomy 1:27:13הָאֱמֹרִ֖יhaemoriof the Amorite Deuteronomy 1:27:14לְהַשְׁמִידֵֽנוּ׃lehashmideinuto destroy us
27. Formal Translation
And you grumbled in your tents and said, “Because of the LORD’s {Yahweh, Covenant Redeemer} hatred toward us, He brought us out from the land of Egypt to hand us over to the Amorite to destroy us.”
27. Dynamic Translation
In your tents you complained, “The LORD {Yahweh, Promise Maker} hates us; that is why He brought us out of Egypt—to give us to the Amorites so that they will wipe us out.”
