18. Formal Translation For only before the LORD {Yahweh, Chosen-Place Lord} your God {Eloheikha, Your Covenant God} shall you eat it, in the place which the LORD your God will choose, in it—you, and your son, and your daughter, and your servant, and your female servant, and the Levite who is within your gates; and you shall rejoice before the LORD your God in all the undertaking of your hand. |
18. Dynamic Translation Rather, you must eat it in the presence of the LORD {Yahweh, Worship-Gatherer} your God {Eloheikha, Faithful Protector} at the place He chooses—there with you, your son and your daughter, your servant and your female servant, and the Levite who is in your towns. Then you should rejoice before the LORD your God in everything you put your hand to. |
