| 2. Formal Translation And this is the matter of the release: Every creditor shall release what he has lent to his neighbor; he shall not exact it from his neighbor—his brother—because a release has been proclaimed for the LORD {Yahweh, Covenant Restorer}. |
| 2. Dynamic Translation This is how the release works: Every creditor must cancel what he has lent to his neighbor, and he must not demand it back from his neighbor—his brother—because the LORD {Yahweh, Debt Forgiver} has proclaimed a release. |
