Deuteronomy 15:2:1וְזֶה֮vezehand this
Deuteronomy 15:2:2דְּבַ֣רdevarthe matter Deuteronomy 15:2:3הַשְּׁמִטָּה֒hashmeetahof the release Deuteronomy 15:2:4שָׁמ֗וֹטshamotrelease Deuteronomy 15:2:5כָּל־בַּ֙עַל֙kolbaalevery creditor Deuteronomy 15:2:6מַשֵּׁ֣הmashehwho lends Deuteronomy 15:2:7יָד֔וֹyadowith his hand Deuteronomy 15:2:8אֲשֶׁ֥רasherwho Deuteronomy 15:2:9יַשֶּׁ֖הyashehlends Deuteronomy 15:2:10בְּרֵעֵ֑הוּbereehhuto his neighbor Deuteronomy 15:2:11לֹֽא־יִגֹּ֤שׂloyiggoshe shall not exact Deuteronomy 15:2:12אֶת־רֵעֵ֙הוּ֙etreehhufrom his neighbor Deuteronomy 15:2:13וְאֶת־אָחִ֔יוveetakhivand from his brother Deuteronomy 15:2:14כִּֽי־קָרָ֥אkikarabecause is proclaimed Deuteronomy 15:2:15שְׁמִטָּ֖הshmeetaha release Deuteronomy 15:2:16לַֽיהוָֽה׃layahwehfor the LORD
2. Formal Translation
And this is the matter of the release: Every creditor shall release what he has lent to his neighbor; he shall not exact it from his neighbor—his brother—because a release has been proclaimed for the LORD {Yahweh, Covenant Restorer}.
2. Dynamic Translation
This is how the release works: Every creditor must cancel what he has lent to his neighbor, and he must not demand it back from his neighbor—his brother—because the LORD {Yahweh, Debt Forgiver} has proclaimed a release.
