| 12. Formal Translation And the man who acts in presumption, not listening to the priest who stands there to minister to the LORD your God {Yahweh Eloheikha, Covenant Judge} or to the judge, that man shall die. And you shall remove the evil from Israel. |
| 12. Dynamic Translation If anyone acts with willful arrogance by refusing to listen to the priest who stands there to serve the LORD your God {Yahweh Eloheikha, Divine Authority} or to the judge, that person must be put to death. Then you must purge the evil from Israel. |
