| 4. Formal Translation Then the elders of that city shall bring the heifer down to a valley with running water, a place that has neither been tilled nor sown; and there in the valley they shall break the heifer’s neck. |
| 4. Dynamic Translation The elders of that city must lead the young cow down to a flowing stream—a place that has never been plowed or planted. There in the valley they will break its neck. |
