Deuteronomy 23:25:1כִּי־תָבֹאkitavoWhen you come
Deuteronomy 23:25:2בְּקָמַת רֵעֶךָbekamat reekhainto your neighbor's standing-grain Deuteronomy 23:25:3וְקָטַפְתָּvekataftathen you may pluck Deuteronomy 23:25:4מְלִילֹתmelilotears Deuteronomy 23:25:5בְּיָדֶךָbeyadekhawith your hand Deuteronomy 23:25:6וְחֶרְמֵשׁvekhermeshbut a sickle Deuteronomy 23:25:7לֹא תָנִיףlo tanifyou shall not swing Deuteronomy 23:25:8עַל קָמַת רֵעֶךָ׃al kamat reekhaupon your neighbor's standing-grain
25. Formal Translation
When you enter your neighbor’s standing grain, you may pick heads with your hand, but you shall not put a sickle to your neighbor’s standing crop.
25. Dynamic Translation
If you walk into your neighbor’s grainfield, you can pick heads by hand, but you must not use a sickle on your neighbor’s standing grain.
