16. Formal Translation And to the Reubenite and to the Gadite I gave from Gilead down to the Valley of Arnon, with the middle of the valley as the boundary, and up to the Jabbok River, the boundary of the sons of Ammon. |
16. Dynamic Translation To the Reubenite and the Gadite, I assigned territory from Gilead down to the Arnon Valley—the valley’s midpoint marked the dividing line—and onward to the Jabbok River, which defined the border of the Ammonites. |
