46. Formal Translation On the other side of the Jordan, in the valley opposite the house of Peor, in the land of Sihon king of the Amorite, who was dwelling in Heshbon, whom Moses and the sons of Israel defeated when they came out of Egypt. |
46. Dynamic Translation They were on the east side of the Jordan River, in the valley across from Beth Peor, in the territory of Sihon, the Amorite king who lived in Heshbon. Moses and the Israelites defeated him when they left Egypt. |
