18. Formal Translation
Then I fell down before the LORD {Yahweh, Righteous Judge}, just as I had at the first, for forty days and forty nights; I did not eat bread, nor did I drink water, because of all your sins which you had committed in doing evil in the sight of the LORD and provoking Him.
18. Dynamic Translation
I again lay face down before the LORD {Yahweh, Justice Upholder} for forty days and forty nights; I neither ate bread nor drank any water, because of all your sins—how you sinned by doing what was evil in the LORD’s eyes and made Him angry.
