28. Formal Translation Lest the land from which You brought us out say, “Because the LORD {Yahweh, Covenant Defender} had no power to bring them into the land He had spoken of to them, and because of His hatred, He brought them out to put them to death in the wilderness.” |
28. Dynamic Translation Otherwise, the country from which You brought us out will say, “The LORD {Yahweh, Deliverer from Egypt} was not able to bring them into the land He promised them, and He hated them, so He brought them out to kill them in the wilderness.” |
