Source Text: Hebrew (WLC) Ecclesiastes 3:14:1 ⧉יָדַ֗עְתִּיyadatiI knew or I perceived Ecclesiastes 3:14:2 ⧉כִּ֠יkithat Ecclesiastes 3:14:3 ⧉כָּל־אֲשֶׁ֨רkalasherall that or everything that Ecclesiastes 3:14:4 ⧉יַעֲשֶׂ֤הyaasehe does or he makes Ecclesiastes 3:14:5 ⧉הָאֱלֹהִים֙haelohimthe God Ecclesiastes 3:14:6 ⧉ה֚וּאhuit Ecclesiastes 3:14:7 ⧉יִהְיֶ֣הyihyeyeit will be Ecclesiastes 3:14:8 ⧉לְעוֹלָ֔םleolamfor forever or for eternity Ecclesiastes 3:14:9 ⧉עָלָיו֙alavupon it or on it Ecclesiastes 3:14:10 ⧉אֵ֣יןenthere is not Ecclesiastes 3:14:11 ⧉לְהוֹסִ֔יףlehosifto add Ecclesiastes 3:14:12 ⧉וּמִמֶּ֖נּוּumihmenuand from it Ecclesiastes 3:14:13 ⧉אֵ֣יןenthere is not Ecclesiastes 3:14:14 ⧉לִגְרֹ֑עַlihgeroato take away or to diminish Ecclesiastes 3:14:15 ⧉וְהָאֱלֹהִ֣יםvehaelohimand the God Ecclesiastes 3:14:16 ⧉עָשָׂ֔הasahe did or he made Ecclesiastes 3:14:17 ⧉שֶׁיִּֽרְא֖וּsheyireuthat they would fear or that they would see Ecclesiastes 3:14:18 ⧉מִלְּפָנָֽיו׃mihlefanavfrom before him or in his presence |
14. Formal Translation I knew that whatever God {ha-Elohim, Eternal Sustainer} does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing can be taken from it. God has done it so that people would fear before Him. |
14. Dynamic Translation I understand that everything God {ha-Elohim, Unchanging Authority} does lasts forever; no one can add to it, and no one can take away from it. God has made it so that people will revere Him. |
