12. Formal Translation When the time for a maiden to go in to the king came and she had completed twelve months according to the custom of the women, the days of her treatment were fulfilled: six months being anointed in myrrh oil and six months in the spices and ointments of the women. |
12. Dynamic Translation Whenever it was a young woman’s appointed season to go in to the king, after she had finished her twelve months of care, the days of her beauty routine were fulfilled—six months with myrrh oil and six months with aromatic spices and cosmetics. |
