9. Formal Translation Haman went out that day joyful and with a glad heart, yet when he saw Mordechai at the king’s gate and Mordechai neither rose nor trembled in his presence, Haman was filled with fury against Mordechai. |
9. Dynamic Translation Haman left that day in high spirits and with a good heart, but when he saw Mordechai at the king’s gate and noticed that he neither rose nor trembled before him, Haman boiled over with anger at Mordechai. |
