4. Formal Translation For we have been sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be killed, and to be annihilated. And if we had merely been sold as male and female slaves, I would have remained silent, for the adversary is not worthy of the king’s damage. |
4. Dynamic Translation My people and I have been sold to be wiped out, killed, and exterminated. If we had only been sold as male and female slaves, I would have kept quiet, since the adversary is not worth the king’s trouble. |
